Design Thinking Within Africa Survey

Do you contribute to teaching & research in Design Thinking within Africa? We want to hear from you.

.Design Thinking is growing and becoming more widely known and adopted in our global south context. There is great potential in using a design-led mindset to understand challenges, identify opportunities, and co-create solutions for complex, real-world problems. We are curious to discover and reframe together how Design Thinking translates, adapts and matters in Afrikan contexts.

At the Hasso Plattner d-school Afrika we are reaching out to connect with organisations based in and/or working in Afrika who are involved in the teaching and research of DESIGN THINKING

With this questionnaire, we are undertaking a stakeholder mapping process to map who is doing what for whom and where, and in what languages. We also want to gauge the need for and the potential shape of an Afrikan collaboration network or community of practice.

If you are involved in or know of an organisation building capacity and conducting research in Design Thinking in Afrika, we would truly appreciate your participation in completing this survey. (Please note at this stage we are not mapping design thinking practitioners).

We are receiving responses until 21 July 2023 and will share our analysis later.
